Yesterday we had a long and detailed meeting with our travel advisors, Cazenove & Loyd working through the final details of the next stage of our trip. On April 4, 2020 we set off on the next leg of Anson’s Voyage 20:20:60. We fly to Sao Paulo Brazil, then transfer to Florianopolis which is very near to Isla Santa Catarina, which is where Commodore Anson made landfall after crossing the Atlantic Ocean with his fleet from Madeira in 1740.
We will be travelling for 55 days, returning the UK on May 29, 2020. We will travel down the east coast of South America, cross over Patagonia, then travel up the west coast stopping at a number of locations where Anson’s fleet made landfall, whether they intended to or not! We will visit Peru, Ecuador, Panama, Mexico, before our final destination which is Charleston, South Carolina. Please stay tuned for more posts after April 4th.
