Our safari mornings begin with a 4:30 am wake-up call. We meet up in the lodge at 4:50 am for a quick cup of tea/coffee, then out in the game truck before dawn with our driver (Juan) and tracker (William). Each time we go out it’s with a species in mind. This morning it was lions, and we found a pride of 10 lions on a fresh Zebra kill. We got very close (perhaps invasion of privacy) and the smell was overpowering.
